Arsenal boss glad to see off Magpies 20:07 January, 26, 2008 Arsene Wenger believes his Arsenal Football Club side had to be at their best on Saturday afternoon.

An Emmanuel Adebayor brace and a Nicky Butt own goal have the Gunners a 3-0 win over Kevin Keegan’s Newcastle United to progress to the fifth round of the FA Cup, and Wenger hailed his players after a tough match.
"Newcastle started very brightly and created some chances. It took us some time to take control of the game," he told Sky Sports. "We did that slowly in the first half and completely in the second - that is why we scored the goals.
"It was not easy at all. Kevin brought them here with drive going forward and belief in what they do. They were dangerous. We have learnt you need to be top class to beat Newcastle at the moment."
